The story of Romantically Raven & Make Me Believe Your Lies
“One afternoon when chatting about my latest venture into the recording studio with my favorite song writer Rich Spina, I asked if he had any tunes that I may record. He let me listen to Make Me Believe Your Lies. Once I heard his beautiful tune, I told him I can relate to your lyrics 100%. The song truly spoke to me, and with his permission, my interpretation of it was then recorded & included on my latest CD.” ~ Debi Raven
According to Rich: “I originally wrote the song quite a few years ago specifically for a female artist in Cleveland who was about to record an album, and she loved the song as soon as she heard it for the first time. Unfortunately, the album never came out. But interest in the song kept reoccurring throughout the years, although always with recording projects that never materialized. So when you (Debi) asked me if I had any songs you’d might like to record, it was the first one I thought of. And you sang such a beautiful rendition of it, I just love it!! They say things happen for a reason, so I guess that’s why it took so long for this song to finally be released... because it was meant to be recorded by you."
